The Cricut Range

Crictut machines come in a few models that suit different makers needs. Continue reading below find out more about the different models and their ideal uses.

Cricut Joy – Beginner

We stock the Cricut Joy, aimed at the crafter starting out. It is the smallest machine and will allow you to work on designs in either 11.4 x 16.5 cm or 11.4 x 30.5 cm . The cutting pressure of the Joy is less than it’s bigger siblings, however, it is ideal for cutting thinner materials like paper and card stock, iron-vinyl and foils.

Cricut Explorer Air – Intermediate

Next up we have the Cricut Explorer Air. This machine allows cutting artworks of up 30,48 x 60.96 cm. The cutting pressure on the Explorer Air is more than that of the smaller Joy machine. This allows you to cut and score over 100 different kinds of paper and cardstock, iron-on and normal vinyl, Infusible Ink, and more. It can however not cut thicker materials, like leather and balsa wood for instance. Unlike the Explorer Air, the Maker is the only machine that will deboss and engrave on your materials.

Cricut Maker – Pro

The Cricut Maker is the most versatile and top range machine from Cricut to date. This machine is made for heavy duty crafting and has more accessories than it’s other siblings. The Cricut Maker has two clamps inside the machine. These clamps enable you to attach interchangeable tools, allowing it to cut thicker materials. Other tools that will enable you to easily deboss, engrave and write on your materials are also available.

Above and beyond being able to cut an assortment of papers, cardstock, vinyl and foils, you can use the Maker for leather and fabric too. Design and produce your own leather jewelry or cut the perfect fabric for your next quilting project. The Maker truly is the way forward if you intend on some serious crafting or starting a small business.
