We’re hiring a Retail Floor Manager for our large and reputable art and stationery store! We need a proactive, hands-on leader who leads by example, takes initiative, and ensures smooth daily operations. This is an all-encompassing role for someone who is highly organised, solution-oriented, and passionate about both managing a team and getting involved in day-to-day store tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Inspire, motivate, and guide staff with a positive attitude while maintaining accountability.
Customer Service & Sales: Engage with customers, drive sales, and handle complaints professionally.
Stock & Merchandising: Ensure stock levels are maintained, displays are visually appealing, and the store is always ready for customers.
Operations & Scheduling: Manage staff schedules and ensure store operations run efficiently.
Problem-Solving & Initiative: Step in where needed, pick up where things slack off, and create effective solutions.
Strategy & Implementation: Work closely with Operations Manager and the Directors to execute management strategies and meet targets.

Technology & Admin: Maintain accurate records and demonstrate strong computer literacy.
Flexibility & Hands-On Approach: Be willing to do both leadership and entry-level tasks when needed.
Ethics & Professionalism: Uphold high standards of integrity, efficiency, and reliability.

Requirements:
• Experience in art and stationery supplies.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to sell, manage schedules, and build strong customer relationships.
• Highly organised, punctual, proactive, and target-driven.
• Creative problem-solver and out-of-the-box thinker.
• Computer literate with strong admin skills.

Job Title: Full-time Retail Sales Assistant


Join our large and reputable art and stationery store, where you’ll play a key role in customer service and supporting day-to-day operations. This is a great opportunity for those with a creative background looking to gain hands-on retail experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet and assist customers, providing product recommendations and sales support.

  • Address customer inquiries and ensure a positive shopping experience.
    Product Knowledge:
  • Stay up-to-date on the store’s range of art supplies and stationery.
  • Assist customers with product selection and demonstrate when necessary.
    Stocking and Merchandising:
  • Help receive and unpack stock.
  • Keep shelves stocked, organised, and appealing.
    Cash Handling:
  • Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately.
    Store Maintenance:
  • Maintain a clean and organised store.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties.
    Compliance and Security:
  • Follow store policies, including theft prevention measures.
    Requirements:
  • Matric required; further education in art fields is a bonus.
