Winsor & Newton Griffin Alkyd Yellow Ochre 37ml Series 1
Traditional oils, wonderful as they are, take a very long time to dry. Winsor & Newton Griffin Alkyds dry much more quickly and this means Impasto and Glazing techniques can be done in a single session. Griffins are a bit more fluid in consistency than traditional oils and they dry with a somewhat more reflective surface, too.
Yellow Ochre is a warm yellow. Originally made from natural iron oxides found in earth, it is one of the oldest pigments used by mankind. A synthetic version became available in the 1920s.
