2D Magnetic Human Manikin
A fully adjustable magnetic plastic human figure.
Drawings: Move the manikin into desired pose of a figure in action and observe the placement of limbs for that particular pose. Use the manikin as a guide to drawing a figure in action e.g. walking. Do a series of drawings showing the action in progress.
Rubbings: Observe pictures of people in action. Move the manikin into desired position. Place a sheet of paper over the shape, make sure to keep the manikin still whilst you rub with a thick pencil or crayon over the edge of it. You will see the action pose of the figure slowly emerge on the paeg. Add detail with pencil or pen.
Tracing: Find the required pose and trace the outline. Suggest motion by moving parts (i.e. legs and arms) and then retrace to imply running or any other action. Because the manikin is magnetised it may easily be displayed on a metal surface.
