Acrylic Fluid Pouring Art Workshop with Ingrid (8 August ’26)
Join Ingrid for a fun and inspiring morning as you discover the four essential techniques of acrylic fluid art. Perfect for beginners looking to try something new, as well as experienced artists wanting to add exciting pouring techniques and unique abstract backgrounds to their acrylic or oil paintings.
You’ll practise each of the four techniques before creating your own stunning fluid art masterpiece on an A4 stretched canvas to take home.
Date: Saturday, August 8th – 2026
Time: 09:00 – 12:30 (3.5 hours)
Place: The Deckle Edge Salt River
All materials are included in the price. Please wear old clothes and bring an apron. Paint will stain your clothes if it spills.
Recommended age: All welcome from 13 years and up.
During this hands-on workshop you will:
- Learn how to choose colour combinations that work beautifully together.
- Master the correct paint-to-medium mixing ratios for the best fluid art results.
- Explore four popular acrylic pouring techniques: Swipe, Dirty Flip Cup, Balloon Kiss and Reverse Dip.
- Practise each technique on four individual coasters while learning Ingrid’s expert tips and tricks for achieving stunning effects.
- Combine everything you’ve learnt to create your own unique fluid art masterpiece on an A4 stretched canvas using one or more of the techniques covered.
PLEASE NOTE: It would be preferable for collection on the Monday. The paint will
move if taken into a car before it is dry.

About the facilitatior:
Ingrid has been a pouring artist for over 10 years, creating her own brand of premixed
pouring paints. She has created artworks, using pouring techniques and enhancing them
with hand painted embellishments, many of which have found homes internationally. She is
known for her work with ballerinas and Cape Town scenes.
*If you need to cancel your workshop booking, please let us know by 11 a.m the weekday before the workshop. To help us support the facilitator, late cancellations will not be refunded. A credit for future events could be granted at our discretion.
