Celebrate the launch of our brand-new ORIGAMIPOETRY venture and introduce our Poetry Pocketbook sets. The talented Malika Ndlovu will give you a poetry reading accompanied by the melodic tunes of musician Lodi Paul Ingha.

Poetry Pocketbook – written by Malika Ndlovu and meticulously handcrafted by Kyoko Kimura-Morgan – will be available for purchase at R80 each, or indulge in the complete set of four for R300. (Purchase of these books will not be done through The Deckle Edge)

About:

Kyoko Morgan, originally from Japan, is the founder of Origami For Africa, the organisation that train a group of children to teach origami. She has been teaching and sharing the joy of origami in Cape Town and other places since 2005. Kyoko has held various origami workshops at grassroot level as well as for corporates and has regulaly supplied origami items for the film industry.
(Kyoko has recently collaborated with an acclaimed poet Malika Ndlovu in creating ORIGAMIPOETRY pocket books which will be launched after this origami workshop at Deckle Edge.)

Malika Ndlovu, a South African poet and playwright, has made a significant impact on the world of literature. Her heartfelt poetry touches on important themes like identity, heritage, and social issues, resonating deeply with readers. Her work has gained international recognition, as she shares her emotional verses at literary events and festivals around the globe. Beyond her written words, Ndlovu also writes plays that explore human relationships and societal challenges, adding depth to her artistic contributions.
