Join us for a fun three hour workshop teaching the basic skills of relief printing with lino.
Date: Saturday, October 8th – 2022
Time: 9:30 – 12:30pm (3 hours)
Place: The Deckle Edge @ 13 Brickfield Road, Salt River

All materials for the day are included in the price;
- Lino
- Cutting tools
- Paper
- Drawing items
What you need to bring:
- An A4 black and white photocopy of the image or artwork you would like to create
- Apron
Recommended age: All welcome from 13 years and up.
What you will learn:
Students will learn how to create a artwork by cutting an image into linoleum and printing it in black oil based ink. This is an introductory class in one colour relief print.
About the facilitator:
A little background / history/ experience Sulette van der Merwe is a full-time artist who has a National diploma in Fine Art Majoring in Painting and Printmaking. She holds a Post graduate certificate in education. Sulette also teaches art classes for children and adults through exclusive private workshops at various venues such as Creative Arts Atelier and Brutal curation. She is a vibrant and creative person who is enjoys interacting with students . She has practiced art professionally since 2009 and is highly skilled as a painter and contemporary artists.
