SOLD OUT: Watercolour Landscapes Workshop with Linda Kavalsky (2 July 2022)
Join us this Watercolour Month for an exciting watercolour landscape painting workshop.
A two hour landscape watercolour workshop with Linda Kavalsky. The workshop will cover various aspects of watercolour painting from the materials to use, touching on colour mixing, edges, texture, different styles, blending and tips to create a successful landscape.
- Date: Saturday, July 02 – 2022
- Time: 9:30 – 11:30
- Place: The Deckle Edge @ 13 Brickfield Road, Salt River
- Workshops are capped at 12 people
All Covid protocols will be strictly adhered to and we suggest wearing clothes that can get paint on them, or an apron.
Materials required: (please bring your own from home)
- A pad of A4 300gm watercolour or mixed media paper (I use Fabriano mixed media paper. I will discuss watercolour paper in more detail in the workshop.)
- 1 x Rigger brush
- 1 x size 8 round brush
- 1 x hake brush
- 1 x Plastic Palette or a ceramic plate
- 1 x Rollertowel or tissue/toilet roll to clean your brushes
- 1 x Glass jar and some small plastic soya sauce containers for the water.
- 1 x set of 10 or 12 watercolour tubes (You will definitely need your primary colours- red, yellow and blue as well as yellow ochre.You can use any brand depending on your budget,I prefer using tubes.)
If you dont have any or some of these items they will be available to buy on the day, please purchase them online before or come a few minutes earlier to get them before starting. We will have som awesome Watercolour Month deals for you to take advantage of.
About the facilitator:
Linda Kavalsky is a local Cape Town artist with 17 years of painting experience and a diploma in interior design. Linda originally trained in oils with Laura Wenman and is comfortable in various mediums as well as being passionate about colour and creativity. Linda is an illustrator with her own product range and book range including a watercolour art book called “Let’s Paint Flowers”.
