The Art of Epoxy Resin: Seal, Shine & Create Workshop (14 March 2026)
Join Ingrid in this hands-on workshop, you’ll unleash your inner artist as we
combine painting, epoxy resin sealing, and beach-inspired crafting. Perfect for beginners
and experienced makers alike—no prior resin experience needed!
What You’ll Create:
- Your very own 8×10 stretched canvas masterpiece painted with vibrant acrylics.
- A glossy, professional resin-sealed finish on your painting for lasting protection and that
stunning high-shine look. - A beautiful beach-themed resin coaster embedded with real beach sand, seashells, and
dried seaweed—bringing the ocean right to your table!
Date: Saturday, March 14th – 2026
Time: 09:00 – 12:30 (3.5 hours)
Place: The Deckle Edge Salt River
All materials are included in the price. (If you use a respirator please bring along)
Recommended age: All welcome from 16 years and up.
What you will learn:
1. Paint Your Canvas. Start by expressing yourself freely on a provided 8×10 stretched
canvas using acrylic paints. Let your creativity flow, abstract, seascapes, landscapes, or
whatever inspires you!
2. Seal with Epoxy Magic. Once your painting is fully dry, I will guide you step-by-step
through the resin process:
- Precisely mixing the two-part epoxy resin.
- Protecting the sides of your canvas (to keep edges clean and drips contained).
- Pouring the crystal-clear resin evenly over your artwork.
- Using a torch to gently pop and remove any air bubbles for a flawless, glass-like
finish. - While your sealed canvas begins to cure (it will be ready for collection on the following
Monday), we will shift to the fun part…
3. Craft Your Beach Coaster — Dive into coastal vibes! Using a wooden blank, you'll layer
learn to apply your beach sand for a textured shore, embed collected seashells and dried
seaweed for authentic detail, then colour and pour resin to make realistic waves breaking
onto the beach.

Materials required by student or supplied by you included price:
All materials will be included.
Should you have any problems with your lungs, please bring your own respirator mask.
Otherwise, a disposable respirator will be supplied (rated FFP2), along with gloves, for
safety. We will have all windows open and a fan running for extra ventilation. Deckle Edge
takes your safety seriously. Students to bring their own aprons.
About the facilitatior:
Ingrid has been a resin artist for over 8 years, working with epoxy resin as well as UV resin.
She makes free form resin sculptures, resin paintings, jewellery, and crafts in both resin
types and teaches very popular UV resin classes at Deckle Edge.
