Join this great follow up workshop to Danelle’s Textures Beginner workshop for Watercolour Month.
This class will focus on painting leaves and flowers from provided reference, using the techniques learnt by attendees in Danelle’s popular watercolour texture for beginners workshops.
Attendees will be provided with professional quality paints and two sheets of Bockingford paper for their creations. Danelle will be available to answer questions and provide guidance, but the focus will be on having fun and maintaining a relaxed painting atmosphere.

- Time: 9:30 – 12:00
- Place: The Deckle Edge, 13 Brickfield Road, Salt River
- Workshops are capped at 10 people (Limited Space Book Early)
- Need to have done Danelle’s previous Watercolour Textures Workshop
What attendees will learn: How to sketch and paint leaves and flowers in watercolour using texture techniques. References will be provided, but attendees are also welcome to bring their own.
Should you wish to take your watercolour journey further, supplies that were used in the class will be available to purchase at a special attendee-only discount from The Deckle Edge.
All Covid protocols will be strictly adhered to and we suggest wearing clothes that can get paint on them, or an apron.
About the facilitator:
Danelle Malan has a BAFA (2010) from the Michaelis School of Fine Art (UCT), having majored in painting. She has been exploring watercolour for over two decades, with her preferred subject matter leaning strongly towards animals, nature, abstract and fantasy. She has been teaching beginners’ watercolour workshops since 2018.
