In this class, you will work with professional-grade paints to explore the wonderful medium of watercolour. Attendees will be guided through a range of basic, fun texture creation techniques, and afterwards will apply what they’ve learnt in a relaxed painting session.

- Place: The Deckle Edge, 13 Brickfield Road, Salt River
- Workshops are capped at 10 people
Should you wish to take your watercolour journey further, supplies that were used in the class will be available to purchase at a special attendee-only discount from The Deckle Edge.
Attendees will also receive an email with additional basic information about watercolour and watercolour art supplies, which covers aspects such as brush care, paper types, and paint safety.
We suggest wearing clothes that can get paint on them, or an apron.
Danelle Malan is a watercolourist and freelance creative practitioner from Cape Town. She holds a BAFA from the Michaelis School of Fine Art (2010), having majored in painting. She lives in Observatory with her two cats, her dachshund and her husband Ben, who is also an accomplished artist.
If you need to cancel your workshop booking, please let us know by 11 a.m the weekday before the workshop. To help us support the facilitator, late cancellations will not be refunded. A credit for future events could be granted at our discretion.
