World Watercolour Month is a daily art challenge for those who love the watercolour and gouache medium. It is a global celebration and aims to raise awareness for art and creativity around the world. There is a list of prompts which you can paint from daily. See below how you can participate.
How to participate:
For the month of July you can participate by following the daily prompts as set out by doodlewash.com
You can use the prompts as inspiration but are encouraged to create whatever gets your creative juices flowing.
Then use the hashtag #WorldWatercolorMonth on social media when posting your creations. And that’s all there is to it!

Express your creativity and you could stand to win amazing watercolour hampers
- Stand to win one of two gorgeous Watercolour Hampers! To enter, simply use watercolour or gouache paints, or aquarelle pencils, to colour in one of our watercolour designs (available in-store, or by download below).
- Entries for children 13 years and under are welcome, and will be eligible for the Kids Prize Hamper. Entries for everyone over 13 will be eligible for the Grand Prize Hamper.
- Submit your entries with your Name, Age, Phone Number and Email Address to us in-store or via email to hello@deckleedge.co.za
- You can also submit via social media by tagging us in your creations using the handle @thedeckleedge on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
- Only entrants who are subscribed to our email newsletter will be eligible to win. To subscribe, please click here and fill in your details or use QR code below:
- Entries close on 31 July 2024 and we will choose winners from our favourite submissions. The prize can be collected in-store or can be shipped via courier anywhere in South Africa.
- On submission, you agree to let The Deckle Edge publish your entries on our social media channels, newsletters and website for promotional use. Your contact details are only for administrative use.
